Tyniec Benedictine Abbey is involved in numerous pastoral, scholarly, cultural and religious activities. The most important are:

1. Work. Gardening,  monastery renovations, household etc

2. The Millenial Bible. The most recent translation of the Bible from original languages into Polish.

3. Publications. We publish numerous theological and historical works. The activity of Benedictine Publishers is very important to us.

4. Visitor’s House. Our visitor’s house, is a house for retreats to which people come seeking reflection and silence. Our visitors enter into our rhythm of prayer and work, participate in the liturgy celebrated in the abbey church and have time for personal prayer. 5. Research. Monks are involved in the research in the disciplines of Liturgy, Biblical studies, History.

6. Apostolic activity. The local Parish in Tyniec is served by our monks (see: Holy Masses in Tyniec Abbey schedule). We are very often invited to carry on retreats. Father Leon Knabit is often invited by public media (like TV stations)
